Our “Christel Dauwe Collection” glass ornaments are all made by European craftsman and therefor need to be cherished accordingly.
The ornaments are made for “indoor” use,
The paint is “not-waterproof” : the ornaments may not be cleaned by use of water.
The paint is also “not” UV resistent – so do not expose the ornaments to extreme sun shine.
The best way to maintain the quality of your ornaments is to dust them before use with a very soft small brush and rebrush them when taking down the trree.
Check the “cap” each year before use so that the ornaments don’t fall out of your tree specially for the bigger ornaments. Also the birds clip-on needs to be rechecked. In case the glue lost it’s strenght during storage you can easily use a 2 component glue to re-assemble your precious ornament.
Storage needs to be humide free and each ornament wrapped in acid free paper. Make sure they can not move inside when handling your storage containers. We advice to store your ornaments in your purchase boxes they are specially designed for this purpose.
Pay extra attention to the “Victoriaan” and “Gablonz” ornaments put them in a plastic bag before boxing them, so the wire can not be torn.
