I always thought these are cute animals. their claws are used for cutting in tree so they can hang about. A few weeks ago I saw a program on History channel these animals excist since the time of the dinosaurs but their ancestors were a “little” bigger. Each animal could make 3 meter wide tunnels in rocks !!! (tunnels found in Mexico) Can you imagine the power they must have wield. Auch !!! this information makes me stand far away of the real animal.
